Email Clients vs Webmail

When you signup for a email services like GMAIL, YAHOO MAIL, HOTMAIL or Another mail service provider, after that you just
started sending and receiving emails with these mail service provider. That is called webmail interface.

For example Gmail provides two thing from which you are able to send emails with the GMAIL Interface. 1.) A webmail interface ( 2 ) A mail server for sending and receiving emails.


In the gmail you connect gmail mail server with their webmail frondend, and after that  you communicate with another email server and you starts sending and receiving emails.

A Email client is a application which installed on your local machine or on your computer for communicte remotely with mail server for sendig and receing emails. In a email client you get a different type of an interface which developed by the email client developer.


There is nothing difference between both excepting an interface, those both things are connected through an email server for sending or receing emails.
